Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Movio.site (“Movio”, “we”) handles when you use the AI Crawler Firewall Checker. It is written to be accurate rather than reassuring: like any website, Movio's servers keep ordinary logs.

Website addresses you submit

When you run a check, the address you enter is sent to our server and used to make test requests to that website. While the check runs, and for a short time afterwards, the address and the results are held in temporary files so the check can complete, so identical checks can be reused for about 10 minutes, and so you can download a report for about 30 minutes. These files expire and are deleted automatically. We do not keep a permanent list of submitted addresses and we do not use them for any other purpose.

Server logs

Our web server and hosting provider keep standard access and error logs, which typically include your IP address, the time, the page requested, your browser's User-Agent and the response status. They exist for security and troubleshooting, and are kept for the period set by our hosting configuration. Submitted addresses are sent in the body of a POST request and are not part of the logged URL.

Rate-limit data

To prevent abuse we count recent checks per visitor and per target website. Visitor IP addresses and target host names are combined with a secret and hashed before being stored, and the records are removed when they are no longer needed for counting.

Test requests to other websites

Checks cause our server to send HTTP requests to the website you enter. The owner of that website may see them in their logs, coming from our server's IP address with the User-Agent of the crawler being tested. Only enter websites you own or are authorised to test.

Cookies and similar technologies

Movio's checker itself does not need cookies. The analytics and advertising services described below may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser, for example to count visits, recognise returning visitors, and serve and measure ads.

Analytics

Movio uses Statcounter, a third-party web analytics service. It receives information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you view and the page you came from, and it may set cookies. We use this to understand how the site is used. See Statcounter's own privacy information for how it handles data.

Advertising

Movio uses Google AdSense, which is operated by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising through Google's ad settings, and you can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services on Google's own policy pages. Ads are kept away from the checker's input and button, and the checker works without them.

Third-party services

Besides Statcounter and Google, our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf. These providers have their own privacy policies and are responsible for their own handling of data.

Email

If you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the issue.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Our hosting provider, analytics provider and advertising provider process data as described above. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service from abuse.

Your choices

You can use Movio without an account. To ask about data we may hold about you, or to ask for deletion, contact us through the contact page.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version is always on this page.
